Respraying The PunishR

You’ve probably noticed the mini has had a colour change.

I did try to keep this under wraps a bit but since the engine rebuild took over, that kind of made it difficult to keep all the other work hush hush.

We were on our way to The Hare for a breakfast meet that is quite well attended. The night before had suffered some severe weather which left a fair amount of standing water.

Powerful Mini and little weight resulted in a sideways motion through some grass. With the passenger side dented and arches left in a bit of a pickle there was only one thing that could be done; COLOUR CHANGE RESPRAY TIME! (And two new doors).

Aaron at South Sea Classics sprung to work and turned the car around extremely quickly sourcing BMW M Gunmetal Grey to do the job. The roof was given a fresh lick of gloss black.

Here are his photos of the work as it unfolded.
